If will not be long until we met again. I was wondering if a reunion in Charlotte, NC would be a good place? We could make it a Nascar race theme. I could setup tours of the race shops and other type tours including the LOWE's Motor Speedway.
This is just a throught, But I need your feedback.
Hello Charlie, and all. North Carolina would be an excellent place for the next reunion. It would be a great location for a family experience. Some of the best furniture is manufactured there, and of course North Carolina is the Nations foremost state for Bar "B" "Q". Weather is pleasant, seafood is good, water is good, hey, sounds like a RINGER. I vote YES...........Itchy Pink
Wait a minute, Charlie......NORTH Frickin' CAROLINA???? Are you sure?? Hey, I hear it that the only things there are racin' cars, damn inspectors, moonshine and barefoot wemin.......hmmmm....OK!! Got my vote, too!!
Phil

Peg and I had a brief stop in Charlotte, NC today. The airport was a breeze to get into and out of. Ticket prices were cheap on US Airways, today. Two more reasons to meet together.
Z Team; As I sit here and wait out another winter gift from the heavens, I reflect on my assignment as 2008 Reunion Chair, and realize the procrastination must cease. The priorities appear to be cost, convenience, and entertainment/vacation options. Las Vegas is hard to beat with those criteria, and April seemed a good weather/family period. So given more planning time, and tougher negotiating, I am opting to return to the Orleans, providing they can provide better meeting accomdations and services. Yes, I mean bar service! So that's my Warning Order. Unless I hear an uproar of protest, we will take that course. Responses of suport are also solicited and appreciated. Hope to see you soon! Cap'n T, Excellent call on location and timing. I'm on "field stand by" to respond to requests for logistics assistance (maint, supply, trans, etc). I will monitor this web site and/or direct email. I know you are "digging-out" in the Northeast, supposed to be sunny & 70 here in Fort Worth. Clear Left and Rear! Moon Mullen Dustoff 708A
you might be able to negotiate a much better deal than I did. I love Vegas and would be happy to return there. Last night i was there I played 2-4 Texas hold em all night and won a couple hundred bucks. My wife, who doesn't gamble loves the shows and food. I say go for it.
Ladies and Gentlemen, as the DHMFIC (Deputy Head Manager Financially In Charge or any other two words that start with M and F) to Dave Tousignant, the Volunteer HMFIC of the 2008 Second Ever 237th Reunion, we are proud to announce that the 2008 reunion will again take place in Las Vegas on the weekend of April 12 and 13, 2008. That's 11 months and a wake-up!
We are still negotiating with Hotels and will let you know exactly which one when we sign a contract. We are talking to the Orleans again, but even though we had a great reunion there last time, they aren't very willing to work with us as far as enticing us to come back, so we are exploring other options. However, knowing that some of you need to make vacation plans, there you have it. Vegas on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of April, 2008.
Watch this space for more information as it becomes available, but we hope to sew everything up within a week or so.
Please make sure everyone you are in contact with knows about the dates. We had 104 last year, let's shoot for 150 this time, whatta ya say?
