I received the following private message today from Bob Hill. He is no relation to the Bob Hill that was the 237th KIA but a 237th bird did pick up his seriously wounded uncle late in the war and he has been able to find some of the crew members. (His uncle remembered the yellow nose on the Mellow Yellow 237th ship.) If I'm not mistaken, it was Dave Hansen's crew and they recently had a very nice reunion.

Let Bob know what you think, either reply here or send him a message. He's registered on the forum. His email is
yellojeep@hotmail.com

Here is his message:

Phil,
I have an old Recon Marine out of SC who fought at Khe Sanh and retired from Miami, FLA PD recently. He's now running a personal business making patches. He makes reproduction, commemorative, active duty military, police, etc. patches and wants to do "DMZ Dustoff" high-quality repro. patches at a good price (upon my request). He'll do color and subdued for me, and I'll pay the initial cost. I'd like to post them for sale on this site, and any profit will go to the organization for reunion costs, etc.. Maybe even donate to the Vietnam Nurses, Vietnam Vets Assn. or whomever. I know that all profit should go to the greater cause. I also have a design for t-shirts, same idea, all profit goes to the group. Maybe we can finance that Huey for reunion rides/education. Let me know as soon as possible if you approve of the idea. Then I need your help with getting measurements and close photos of a real patch. From there, I'll draw one and submit everything at once. Let me know.

                                                                          Bobby
